Heraldic Images
I have developed an interest in the history, art and construction
of ensigns armorial and heraldry in genaral.
Most new heraldic art is very beautifully
painted and technically perfect, I am in awe of some of the better known artists, like Andrew Jamieson, John Lancaster, Gordon
MacPherson, Romily Squire, Anthony Wood and Daniel de Bruin, I could go on!
I have been encouraged and helped by
the very knowledgable Peter Drummond-Murray, an invaluable source.
I have undertaken a number of commissions,
some new, and some altered from original paintings.
Original paintings are scanned digitally 'cleaned'
and then edited, almost any alterations can be carried out, for example: addittion of a label or charge, or re-vitalising
faded colours. These tasks are completed on computer using various image manipulating software, and when completed
they are printed on a high quality laser colour printer
